Our story and the creation of the CombiBag
Origin of the need
In frustration of not being able to easily work with our hot tools, storing our hairdressing materials and getting molten our work trolleys, we started thinking about a solution.
What do we need to be able to work in a more functional way and make our work easier? We already had our ideas.
Looking for a supplier / partner
First of all, looking for a technical design draftsman and a suitable leather producer.
Quality has been the most important part. A bag of top quality leather, comfort, professionalism and a unique appearance.
In the end, we found a suitable partner in Donders BV who could not only develop this bag, but also wanted to develop it with us. This international company specializes in leather and has more than 150 years of experience in developing various leather products. What a great cooperation!! Top company! Large but also small and personal in contact. They develop leather jackets for Tommy Hilfiger, PM, etc.
Our wishes and requirements for the bag
Next step, looking for the most important part of the CombiBag: the heat-resistant material.
A very specific product because it must be able to withstand a heat of at least 180 degrees from our hair straighteners and a minimum of 220 degrees of the keratin (extensions). The keratin must not stick to the material or has to be easy to remove.
The heat may not be applied to our body and the bag must therefore have a protective effect. A long search, but found.
All tools in hand and started working. So exciting every time a CombiBag was ready and we could test if it met all our wishes.
The whole process
It took a lot of time to make various sketches, develop prototypes (no less than 5), fine-tune, apply for patents, but finally it all came to a good result.
Anyway, we are very proud and happy that we can now present the CombiBag to you.
Hopefully the CombiBag can also make a valuable contribution to the workability for you.
